Illustration Friday: SUPERSTITION

This weeks ILLUSTRATION FRIDAY theme is "SUPERSTITION".

My entry is the old superstition of a black cat crossing your path. It is supposed to be bad luck.
BUT I THINK it is GOOD luck because cats are so wonderful and I could never see them as being bad luck.

*SUPERSTITION* is available at auction on ebay

Now that is interesting, because over here in the UK it is considered good luck to have a black cat cross your path.

This has a charming and sweet look. I love the contrast of the red-pink clothing against the blue backdrop, and how her hair matches the cat. It is a nice tie-in.

My parents have two black cats - they cross my path all the time. Glad it's good luck over here!

Tascha, I've been a big eBay fan of yours for quite some time now. I also sell paintings on eBay and am adding your blog to my favorites on my blog. Catherine

Your painting is such a cutie! I love your style of painting and envy your freedom with the paint brush. My style is so much more stiff and flat colored, I guess it is my illustrator style of then that still stays with me. Also, I meant to thank you for your great generosity in showing on youtube how your paint your wonderful images. A few fellow artists around me are very secretive about their creative process, like they are afraid one will copy their style or even get better at it. I added your blog to my favorites on my blog site and will be visiting you often. Please drop by mine any time!
